The Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Diploma is designed to develop the skills and knowledge of people, enabling them to work in the industry in their chosen craft. It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the test(s) are based on the student showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirement of the qualification.

- Unit 201/601 - Health, safety and welfare in construction.
- Unit 202/602 - Principle of building construction, information and communication
- Unit 207 - Carry out first fix flooring and roofing
- Unit 208 - Carry out first fix frames, partitions and stairs
- Unit 209 - Carry out second fixing operations
- Unit 210 - Carry out maintenance
- Unit 211 - Set up and operate a circular saw

Entry Guidelines
- You will need 4 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above. One of the 4 GCSE's to be Maths or English at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) to study at this level.
- If you have a beginner/Introductory qualification in the subject you want to study and a maths or English GCSE at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) you can study at this level.
- Entry requirements for Level 2 courses in some sectors may be more specific. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, don't worry — we can help you find a suitable course that aligns with your skills and experience.

Where can I progress to?
Successful completion of this course may mean you can progress to Carpentry & Joinery Level 3 Diploma or NVQ level 2/3 Carpentry & Joinery (if you gain an apprenticeship).
