How Employers Can Get Involved
Wirral Works works closely with local businesses to help address skills shortages and fill vacancies in key sectors, including health and social care, construction, digital, green technologies, and more. Partnering with us gives employers access to a pool of motivated, pre-trained candidates, helping to reduce recruitment challenges and save time and resources.
Employers can get involved in a number of ways:
Sector-Based Work Academies (SWAPs): Host short, pre-employment training programmes tailored to your business needs, giving candidates the skills, knowledge, and experience to hit the ground running.
Skills Bootcamps: Support sector-specific intensive courses that equip learners with the practical skills needed for roles in high-demand areas.
Work Experience & Placements: Provide opportunities for learners to gain hands-on experience while identifying potential employees who are ready to join your workforce.
Input into Training Design: Help shape course content to ensure candidates are trained in the skills that matter most to your business.
By collaborating with Wirral Works, employers can fill vacancies faster, develop a pipeline of local talent, and make a tangible impact on the Wirral community by supporting residents into meaningful work.
