The Aspiring Professional course in Plastering offers a solid stepping stone into the world of construction, giving beginners the essential skills to get started.
Students learn the fundamentals of surface preparation, material mixing, and plaster application through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on workshop training. Whether aiming for advanced study or an entry-level job on-site, this course lays the groundwork for a successful future in plastering.
You will study:
- Apply Plaster to Internal Surfaces
- Apply Render to External Surfaces
- Construction Health and Safety
- Preparing Background Surfaces for Plasterwork
- The Construction Industry
3 days per week incorpating maths, Engliah, work experience and tutorial.
This is a Study Programme for students aged 16-18 years.
If you are yet to gain any formal qualifications (e.g. GCSE's) you will be enrolled onto our Aspiring Professionals Programme which is perfect for progression to further study at level 2 or alternatively an apprenticeship route into employment.
Basic levels of literacy and numeracy are required for you to study at this level (grade 2 or below in English/Maths)

This study programme is free for students, who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, and students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
