Entry Guidelines
- You will need 4 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above. One of the 4 GCSE's to be Maths or English at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) to study at this level.
- If you have a beginner/Introductory qualification, for example a Level 1 Aspire qualification, in the subject you want to study and a maths or English GCSE at Grade 3 (or Functional Skill level 1) you can study at this level.
- Entry requirements for Level 2 courses in some sectors may be more specific. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, don't worry — we can help you find a suitable course that aligns with your skills and experience.

Where can I progress to?
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Photography, students may choose to progress to higher-level photography courses such as the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Photography or pursue apprenticeships or specialised areas of interest within the field.

Equipment Required
Having your own camera is useful but not essential as there are some cameras available for rent in our library.
Students can purchase SD cards and card readers as part of their starter pack (bursary students will receive these as part of this).

Assessment for this course is primarily through coursework, practical assignments, and portfolio development.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their understanding of photography concepts through hands-on projects and digital portfolio submissions.
