Internships are a partnership between an employer and the college that are designed to help young people gain the skills and experience to secure long-term employment.
They involve a qualification in employability, high quality work experience, a focussed period of work preparation training, digital skills, maths and English.

Course Details
This qualification is designed for people who are focused on gaining employment. It provides learners with:
- An introduction to the main principles of employability and enterprise
- A high-quality work experience placement with an employer
- Work preparation training, provided by the college
- English and maths support, if required, provided by the college
- Digital skills qualification
Internships will usually last from 17 to 34 weeks with the content tailored to the needs of the business and the individual.
You will also learn how to remove any barriers to your first day in employment and be given strategies to keep improving yourself after completion of the course.

Entry Guidelines
- Relevant Entry Level qualification or 3 GCSEs at Grade 2/E or above.
- Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.
