You will be
introduced to the fundamental principles of moving image production, developing
an understanding of how visual language, sound, editing and narrative work
together to create compelling media. From planning to final production, you will
gain practical experience in creating your own digital video content.
The course bridges technical production skills with creative exploration, allowing you to experiment with style, genre and storytelling approaches while building confidence in industry relevant processes.
You will take part in a hands on, practical programme of study, culminating in a portfolio of moving image work that demonstrates your creative development and technical ability.

Entry Guidelines
You must be 19 or over to study on this course.
You do not need formal qualifications for this course.You must be able to follow instructions, be willing to work independently, produce answers in a clear and understandable form and organise information clearly.
It is open to individuals of all levels, from beginners with a keen interest in the subject, to those looking to refine their skills.

Where can I progress to?
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Award, students may choose to progress to higher-level specialist courses or pursue specialised areas of interest within the field.

The course runs from 23rd September 2026 to 27th January 2027. The sessions take place on Wednesday evenings 6-9pm

Assessment for this course is primarily through coursework, practical assignments, and portfolio development.
