The Carpentry and Joinery Level 1 Certificate is a great place to start for those looking to enter the carpentry industry.

Whether you're wanting to develop carpentry and joinery skills to take the next step in your career, or picking it up as hobby, this course will introduce you to a wide range of skills, knowledge, and behaviours to start you on your journey. It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions.

  • Course Details

    You will complete the following units.

    • Health and Safety
    • Constructing a range of timber Joints
    • Fixing Architraves and Skirtings

    The course takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6pm-9pm.

  • Entry Guidelines

    You must be 19 or over to study on this course.

    You do not need to have any formal qualifications in this subject.

    You must complete a satisfactory interview and show that you have an interest in carpentry and joinery.

    Timetable: Tuesday's and Thursday's 6:00pm-9:00pm

  • Equipment Required

    You will require the following Personal Protective Equipment:

    All students are required to wear long legged work pants and safety foot wear.

    Assessment will be completed by practical and online tests.
