The course aims to help you gain a good knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and functional language for everyday life and provides opportunities for you to practise these skills.

Once you have completed your RARPA Skills for Life course you will be ready to move on to sit an accredited Ascentis ESOL exam.

Entry Guidelines
An initial interview and assessment will ensure you are put in a class at the right level. These levels are Pre Entry, Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2.
Your tutor will work with you to identify your particular learning and support needs. Your immigration status for study will be discussed during your assessment.

Where can I progress to?
You could progress into employment or further study (ESOL courses, FE courses, and university courses, either here or in your home country.
Returning students would need to be able to demonstrate improvement in their skills in order to progress to the next level.

Assessment Methods
You will be assessed throughout the year, for example with progress tests from the course book, and you will practise exam papers.
