Entry Guidelines
- Level 3 courses are usually 2 years in length.
- You will need 4 GCSE's at Grade 4 or above. One of the 4 GCSE's to be Maths or English at Grade 4 (or functional skill level 2) to study at this level.
- If you have a level 2 qualification in the subject you want to study and a maths or English GCSE at Grade 4 (or functional skill level 2) you can study at this level.
- Entry requirements for Level 3 courses in some sectors may be more specific. If you're unsure whether you meet these requirements, don't worry — we can help you find a suitable course that aligns with your skills and experience.

Where can I progress to?
Although there is currently no internal progression route within the college for this programme, students are supported in exploring a range of apprenticeship and internship opportunities.
These are introduced during the second-year progression unit, where learners receive detailed guidance on industry pathways and help navigating the UCAS system should students wish to further their study at University on courses such as BA (Hons) in Film Studies or Media Production.
We also assist students in developing professional showreels and provide instruction in networking skills to help them promote their work and increase their visibility within the sector.

Equipment Required
The college is well equipped with a wide range of cameras and recording equipment, with additional items available to borrow from the library.
Students are encouraged to bring their own SD cards (8GB or 16GB), notebooks, and pens from the start of the year to ensure they are fully prepared for practical sessions and class activities.

Assessment Methods
Student are assessed through creative responses to a range of assignment briefs and activities, building towards unit portfolios.
There are no formal exams on this qualification.
