A very hectic week with so much happening across College.
Wirral Council held their Cabinet Meeting at Wirral Waters where the Wirral Growth Company was launched. This aims to transform Wirral and as a key strategic partner we look forward to our students progressing into the thousands of jobs promised as this exciting economic development takes shape.
On Thursday our Mayor of Wirral and her Consort, hosted a dinner for the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, the High Sheriff of Merseyside and Civic Heads of our neighbouring boroughs including the City of Liverpool, Warrington, West Lancs, Halton and St Helens. Their choice for such a high profile dinner.....the Birches Restaurant, of course where our Level 2 and 3 students prepared and served a fabulous meal. The menu, which was inspired by the date being St David’s Day, was also written in English and Welsh. So proud of our students who, as usual, excelled.
On the first day of snow in Wirral for a good few years, as I went off on a learning walk, it was a joy to join one of our ESOL classes. Students were discussing the weather and happy to see the excitement of Nitaya who had never seen snow before Thursday morning.
