This course enables you to develop your skills and knowledge to an advanced level to meet industry required standards.
- During your course it is expected that you will develop advanced technical skills and knowledge to improve employability.
- As part of your qualification you will take part in a hair competition and produce a portfolio of professional images.
- During your course you will be expected to attend national shows and exhibitions.
- NVQ 2 Hairdressing or equivalent.
- A satisfactory interview and assessment.
You will need to wear a uniform, which consists of black tailored trousers (no leggings or jeans) and a black branded T-shirt. The T Shirt with white hairdressing branding on the back is £6.50. You must wear all black closed in shoes. You will also be required to buy a kit so you can practice your skills at home. The kit contains all you will need including a PPE apron at a cost of £139.14. This includes delivery to your home address. Equipment requirements will be discussed at interview.
Practical assessment tests are carried out and written assignments are completed. In addition there are VTCT End Tests.
An interview will be arranged where you will have an opportunity to discuss the course and your individual needs.
