Austism Together has been chosen by staff and students as Wirral Met College's charity of the year for 2023/24.
Autism Together is an excellent charity that aims to be of service to support people who have autism as well as their families. They offer a range of services to help the needs of different individuals which includes supported living, residential services, and a range of advice and courses to assist anyone who is on the autism spectrum to help improve their lives and support them as individuals.
They have been working for over 50 years to provide people on the autism spectrum with life opportunities that they may not of previously had been given. They work to develop their skills by recognising the different needs that they require attention to.
We have hosted events and encouraged staff and students to get involved in helping the charity. You can see more about them below:
Charity Gala Night
The Students' Union at Wirral Met held a Charity Gala Night and managed to raise £1,216
Festive Christmas Outfits
To help aid Autism Together, students and staff have been getting festive with their outfits for College. We encouraged people to email a photo of their outfit to us for a chance to win a voucher
