Over the last 6 months, students in Prep 4 Life have been working hard to create a ‘Save our seas’ wall mural at our Conway Park campus.

Prep 4 Life students have all contributed by creating individual art pieces, which have been joined together to create one amazing mural. Even during lockdown, students worked tirelessly online and in class to create something which represents how our local beaches have provided a space of peace for students and our local community during this difficult year.

The project has played an important role in supporting students with their emotional wellbeing, giving them time and space to be mindful and switch off from the stresses and strains of the past 12 months.

The idea behind the mural was to represent the difficult time we have all had through lockdown, giving thanks to key workers. It shows how our local beaches and nature has provided a space of peace for students and our local community during a difficult time.

Alongside creating the mural, students discussed how they can look after our local beaches, and the impact that plastic is having on the ocean. Some students have even been out litter picking in their own time.

Take a look at the final mural!
