How Traineeships Work

Over the course of 10 weeks, starting on Monday the 5th of October, you will gain high quality work experience from one of our local partner employers. You will also develop your English and maths skills, whilst learning how to prepare for an Apprenticeship or employment by improving your communication and interview skills from Wirral Met’s friendly team.

You will be provided with a free travel pass to help you get to your work experience placement and College for the duration of your Traineeship

Once you’ve completed your Traineeship, you are guaranteed either a job interview (if a relevant position is available), or an exit interview that will provide you with valuable feedback to help you towards securing an apprenticeship or employment.

Eligibility

If you are  aged 16 to 24 or 25 for those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and hold no higher than a full Level 3 qualification, you can get ready for employment or an Apprenticeship with a Traineeship through Wirral Met College and a range of local employers.
