POSTPONED - Employers Event - Safeguarding Students
As you will be aware, the Government are continuing to take steps to try and mitigate the risk associated with the increasing spread of Coronavirus. The World Health Authority has declared the situation a pandemic and we continue to follow the advice of Public Health England, in managing the situation.
The health and safety of our students, staff and visitors is paramount and, in response to the latest developments, the College has taken a decision to postpone all events to be hosted by the College, until further notice.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we must all work together to mitigate the effects of this serious, global pandemic.
You can find general information about the College, including any changes to opening times, on our website.
Do you offer apprenticeships, traineeships, work experience or industry placements to young people in the local area? Join us for a free, 1 hour training session to learn more about safeguarding and your responsibilities as an employer.
This basic awareness training will cover:
- Key safeguarding categories
- Specific safeguarding issues
- What to do if you have a concern
- Keeping yourself safe
- Who to contact
- Overview of Wirral Met's procedure
This event will be hosted at the College's Conway Park campus, in The Birches Restaurant. There is metered on-street parking around the campus and a pay and display car park next to the station.
