Thanks to everyone for working hard on our Open Day, to welcome prospective students who wish to join us. I managed to visit all three main campuses, during the event, to speak with staff and students.
Special thanks to our Students’ Union Executive and Student Reps who gave up their time to support us.
We also held a great event on well being, at Conway Park on Wednesday, thanks to staff and students in our Visitor Economy, marketing and student engagement teams, in particular, who were busy providing treatments and hosting an information ‘market’ with stalls from so many of our partners who share our agenda to support well being.
Visiting lots of classes this week, I popped in to a Health and Social Care session with three ex-students who returned to tell their story. Two of the students are in their second year degree course and the other is on her first year degree, with University of Liverpool, University of Chester and LJMU, respectively. They explained to me, and the level one group we visited, how it seems no time at all since they had started in level 1 at Wirral Met and they are now pursuing their dreams to become graduate nurses. That’s what it’s all about, helping students achieve their ambitions.
