Level 3, Full Time
Application Form to be returned to Student Services
This course is aimed at adults who wish to pursue a career as a Personal Trainer in the health and fitness industry.
This one-year course is ideal for adults who don't already hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification but who want to qualify as a Level 3 Personal Trainer. The course incorporates both the Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualifications.
An assessment will be completed to establish if you have a good level of communication as this is key in being able to converse and advise clients on individualised fitness programmes.
A general level of fitness is required as you will be required to demonstrate exercise to clients. This will be assessed during the interview process.
You should have a genuine interest in the fitness industry. Experience in the industry is desirable but not essential.
This will be discussed at interview.
A range of assessment methods will be used including practical gym-based assessments.
You must be able to demonstrate a good level of English, maths and communication skills.
If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.
