This level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness aims to introduce you to a number of ways of understanding and responding to various mental health disorders
The aims of the course are to enable you to:
To understand the nine specified mental health conditions To understand how to respond to the nine specified mental health conditions To understand relevant terms used within the field of mental health To understand how the nine specified mental health conditions can be managed
Relevant level 1 qualification or a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above. These subjects should preferably be academic subjects which have a significant written component. However, all applications will be considered on completion of their written task. In some cases, applicants may be considered on their individual skills and experience.

No addition equipment is required
All 10 units are assessed through the building up a portfolio of evidence that covers the relevant assessment criteria. The portfolio assessments may be made up of reports, posters, essays, worksheets and timed tasks To achieve the certificate you must complete all 10 mandatory units.
Access to Higher Education if you also have GCSEs including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (4 and above under new GCSE tariff)

This course is FREE if you are aged 19+ and are unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits, or in work earning less than £18,135 annual gross salary.
