If you are a mature student and do not have the traditional qualifications such as 'A' Levels then this is the course for you. The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University.
The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University. On this course you will study subjects relating to English, History and optional modules of Education or Law
You will need 4 GCSE's grade 4/C or above including English and Maths (and Science if you wish to go into Primary Education).
You will have an interview where you should demonstrate your understanding of the Higher Education programme you are interested in progressing to.
You must evidence previous study within the last 5 years at level 2. Satisfactory interview and assessment (comprehension task).

Once you have made an application you will be invited to an interview (if you meet the entry requirement).
If you do not meet the course entry requirements then you may be offered a place on our Pre Access Humanities which provides you the opportunity to gain GCSE English, as well as relevant subject knowledge.

If you are aged 19+, you may be able to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learner Loan (which is available for this course).
Depending on your personal circumstances, this course could be FREE for you if you are aged 19-23 and you do not already have a level 3 qualification.
The fee quoted is for the academic year 2019-20.
