If you are a mature student and do not have the traditional qualifications such as 'A' Levels then this is the course for you. The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University.

The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University. On this course you will study subjects relating to English, Education Studies and Sociology

Entry Guidelines

This course is for students aged 19plus.

4 GCSE's including English and Maths (and Science if you wish to go into Primary Education) at Grade 4/C or above or Pre Access and English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.

You will be interviewed and be able to demonstrate your understanding of the career you want to progress to.

Satisfactory interview and assessment (written/comprehension task).

If you wish to pursue a career in primary school education you will also need current and relevant experience of working/volunteering in an educational setting.

Additional Information

Once you have made an application you will be invited to an interview (if you meet the entry requirement).
If you do not meet the course entry requirements then you may be offered a place on our Pre Access Humanities which provides you the opportunity to gain GCSE English, as well as relevant subject knowledge.
