Breadmaking during lockdown has created a new interest in amateur bakers wishing to create their own Artisan style breads in the comfort of their own homes. This 5 week course will provide you with an opportunity to explore a range of breads and breadmaking styles that will develop your skills working alongside like-minded enthusiasts.
Our chef/lecturers will provide you with a portfolio of recipes and some of the breads you bake might include: â€¢ The classic breads such as cobs and bloomers â€¢ The flatbread style of breads such as pitta and naan â€¢ The European style breads such as focaccia and ciabatta â€¢ The enriched breads such as brioche and Danish pastries
No formal qualifications required. Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference. If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.
Solid, hard-wearing flat shoes/apron/container to transport finished goods home.
There will be no formal assessment and our chefs will simply provide you with constructive feedback and guidance on how you could improve your finished breads.
No formal entry requirements. This course is suitable for all levels of abilty. The cost of the course covers all ingredients.
