As a Hospitality Team Member you will develop an all-round knowledge of the skills required to work in a range of areas within the hospitality industry that will provide you with an opportunity for wider employment or further learning.
The content of the course includes:
- Customer Service Principles (e.g. meeting customer expectations).
- Business Knowledge (e.g. undertsanding Unique Selling Points (USP's)
- Communication Skills.
- Personal/Professional Conduct.
- Team Working (including leadership and supporting colleagues).
- Specialist skills (e.g. alcoholic beverages, barista, food & beverage, events etc.).
- Health & Safety legislation (relevant to the hospitality industry)
This Apprenticeship will involve college attendance and other off the job related activities.
Ideally you will be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.
WMC will provide apprentices with a suitable uniform to wear in our training restaurant.
You will generate an electronic portfolio of evidence against the requirements of the relevant apprenticeship standards. At the end of your programme you will be assessed through an End Point Assessment comprising of a knowledge test, practical observations, business project and a professional discussion. You will also be required to complete English and maths Functional Skills at level 1.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will be presented with further opportunities to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
