Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector worldwide, who need a grounding in the essentials of safety and health. It gives everyone at work an understanding of why they must 'work safely' — and does it in an enjoyable way.

Course Details

Working Safely is a completely different approach to safety and health training. It's a high-impact programme designed to be fun and get people fully involved. The first-class, jargon-free content is based on what people need to know in practice, and not off-putting legal language. Working Safely covers:

  1. An outline of occupational safety and health
  2. Defining hazard and risk
  3. Identifying common hazards
  4. Improving safety performance
Entry Guidelines

You should have at least one year's work experience in any area of work before studying this course and have a level 2 English qualification or equivalent skills.

Equipment Required

No specific equipment is required for you to complete this course.

Assessment Method

The end of course assessment is in two parts:

  1. A multi-format question paper
  2. A multiple choice hazard spotting exercise Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Working Safely certificate and/or passport card. The Working Safely qualification is recognised by CSCS as equivalent to a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
