This COSHH training course will enable your employees to understand how to control and act upon any hazards that may occur in the workplace. They will learn about hazardous substances, how to control risks arising from them and how a COSHH risk assessment is carried out.
Section 1: The importance of COSHH risk assessments In this section, your employees will learn the reason for conducting COSHH risk assessments, what COSHH means and how it can potentially harm employees. Section 2: Types of hazardous substances This section will show your employees how to identify and classify different forms of hazardous substances and how these substances can enter the body and cause harm. Section 3: Controlling risks from hazardous substances In this section, your employees will learn about different factors that need to be considered when assessing risks from exposure to hazardous substances. This covers the hierarchy of controls in relation to hazardous substances. Section 4: How a COSHH risk assessment is carried out In this section your employees will cover the stages of a COSHH risk assessment and know when to review a COSHH risk assessment.
