This course is suitable if you wish to gain a vocational qualification in Indian Head Massage. You will study the practical skills of head massage and the relevant theory.
During the course you will spend your evening in the salon working on one another and models. Assessments continue throughout the course both in practical and theory sessions and you will be required to complete a number of case studies. During your course there will be opportunities for attending national shows and exhibitions. You will need to provide your own equipment, overalls and flat shoes. Approximate cost £30.
- Relevant Level 2 qualification at Pass or above or minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 4/C and above.
- A satisfactory interview.
- You need the skills for fine work e.g. small, precise movements within the treatment.
- You must be prepared to give and receive treatments to/from other students on your course.
This profession and course requires you to be able to carry out physical work for long periods of time. Reasonable adjustments will be made to accommodate disabilities.
This qualification will be an extremely useful addition if you are a practising therapist, especially if you offer Aromatherapy and/or Reflexology. It is also useful and desirable for a great many hairdressers. This course provides an excellent starting point to progress onto the Diploma in Complementary Therapies.
