Level 2 Award in Preparing to Run a Hair and Beauty Business has been specially designed to enable you to gain the skills, knowledge and understanding required to be a successful beauty therapy or hairdressing entrepreneur, including an awareness of the benefits and risks involved in running your own business.
You will gain an in-depth theoretical knowledge of the laws and regulations in your region which will impact on setting up and running a Hair or Beauty Therapy business.
Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above.
Satisfactory interview, assessment and satisfactory reference.

This will be discussed at interview.
Assessments are set, marked and internally quality assured by the centre to clearly demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes. All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross referenced with requirements listed in an e-portfolio.
You will be required to sit two external exam papers.
Assessment is sampled by VTCT external quality assurers.
Although not essential, a vocational qualification within hairdressing, beauty therapy, complementary therapy or sports massage would be beneficial.
This qualification can be taken alongside, or after, a vocational hairdressing, beauty therapy, complementary therapy or sports massage qualification.
Progression routes include self-employment or further study of hairdressing, beauty therapy, complementary therapy, sports massage or business at Level 2 upwards.

Fee : £225.00
This course is FREE if you are aged 19+, unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits or in work earning less than £17,550 annual gross salary, and you do not have a level 3 qualification.
The fee quoted is for the academic year 2019-20.
