The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies is a knowledge-based qualification which will provide you with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary therapist.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails.
You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.
- Relevant Level 2 qualification.
- Satisfactory interview, assessment and satisfactory reference.

Assessment is set, marked and internally quality assured by the centre to clearly demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes. All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross referenced to requirements listed in an e-portfolio. You will be required to sit two exteral exam papers.
Assessment is sampled by VTCT external quality assurers.
Although not essential, Anatomy and Physiology at Level 2 may be beneficial.
