This course is offered to qualified hairdressers at L2/L3 who need to improve their skills, techniques and confidence due to a gap in employment. There will be an opportunity to practice and redefine skills and techniques to provide the opportunity to re-enter the world of employment.
The course will take you through basic cutting techniques to advanced skills over a 6-week period. Long layers, short trendy, disconnected and how to use a razor will be revisited, you with also get the opportunity to practice in our industry standard salons.
Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above.
Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.
Relevant Level 2 qualification at Pass or above or minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C (Grade 4 or above).

Are you aged 16-18? Study programmes are full-time courses for 16-18 year olds which include: • A qualification such as BTEC Extended Diploma • Meaningful work experience or preparation for work • English and maths, if you don't already have GCSE grade A*-C in english and maths (grade 4 and above) • Non-study activities such as tutorials, voluntary work, fund-raising/charity work, sport or trips.

If you are aged 19+ and live outside the Liverpool City Region, you are unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits, or in work earning less than £17,004 annual gross salary, or you are aged 19-23 and have not already achieved a full level 2 qualification, this course is FREE.
