This is a FREE course. You will be in a small, friendly group. You will take part in various activities that will help increase your confidence and develop your maths skills. You will have your own plan of work which you will negotiate with your tutor.
The course will cover; mental calculations and estimating the cost of items, use of common fractions, decimals, percentages and the metric system, finding and using information in lists, tables, and charts.
To join this course you first need to complete an assessment to determine the correct level for you.

You will work towards a City & Guilds Functional Skills qualification or a College Certificate
You may be able to progress to Move on Maths or a range of other courses that require mathematical skills.

This course is FREE if you are - aged 19+ and live in the Liverpool City Region. If you are aged 19+ and live outside the Liverpool City Region, you are unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits, or in work earning less than £17,004 annual gross salary, or you are aged 19-23 and have not already achieved a full level 2 qualification, this course is FREE.
