This qualification is primarily designed to engage 16-19 year olds and 19+ year olds who are interested in learning about the role of a vehicle valeter.

Course Details

Learners develop an understanding of the maintenance and cleaning of the interior and exterior of vehicle safely and economically. They will know how to assess a vehicle, restore exterior condition and reinstate interior condition. Learners will also develop knowledge of how to deliver excellent customer service.

Entry Guidelines
Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above. Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.
Equipment Required

PPE. Steal toe capped boots, Overalls, Gloves, Goggles and Bump Cap.

Assessment Method

The qualification has a predominately practical task approach to assessment and includes many visual questioning techniques which will help to stimulate and interest the learner. To ensure critical aspects of knowledge are addressed, five units also have online (multiple-choice) tests. Optional written assessments are available for the Level 2 Diploma.

Where can I progress to?
This qualification can also supplement a learner's progress to GCSEs and other destinations, such as apprenticeships and employment.

This study programme is free for students, who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, and students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
