Training and developing practical skills whilst demonstrating the application of safe practice, progress is constantly monitored against set targets and practical tasks sheets which outline standards and expectations. Theory sessions underpin the benefits of applying different techniques whilst target setting and written feedback of students work will ensure students are prepared for online exams.
This is a Study Programme and priority will be given to those aged 16-18 years of age.
Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above and successful completion of a skills test.
Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.

PPE must be worn at all times in college and all students must arrive at sessions on time, prepared and ready to learn wirth pens, paper etc. All students must be fully committed to attend every element of their study programme, Vocational, English, maths and Work Experience.

If you are aged 16-18:
This study programme will be FREE for most students who are aged 16-18 on 31 August, or students aged 19-24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
If you are aged 19 or over:
This course is FREE if you are aged 19+ and are unemployed/in receipt of eligible benefits, or in work earning less than £18,135 annual gross salary. If you are aged 19-23 and have not already achieved a full level 2 qualification this course is FREE. Please see our Fees and Discounts leaflet for details, or call 0151 551 7777.
