This Level 2 Award in Printmaking provides learners with opportunities to develop a range of creative language and visual literacy skills.

Course Details

The UAL Award in Printmaking aims to provide students with an exciting and challenging experience which will introduce them to the rigours and rewards of exploring and working within the most fundamental of creative activities, drawing.

Students will complete the following two units:

Unit 1: Principles of Printmaking

During this unit you will develop a body of knowledge, understanding and skills which will enable you to safely undertake printmaking activities.

Unit 5: Screen Printing

This unit is designed to provide you with a range of knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to produce screen prints.

Entry Guidelines

Relevant Level 1 qualification or minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above.

Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.

Equipment Required

Information about equipment will be provided at the interview stage.

Assessment Method

100% assessed through coursework, with no external assessment or exams.
