This Level 1 Introduction to Media course is an excellent opportunity for students who want to have a taster of college life and carry out level 1 studies in Media.
This is a skills-based qualification designed to help develop the personal and social skills needed to help progression to independent living, future employment or further vocational study.
In this introductory course you will be taught a wide range of media skills including video filming and editing. You will study 2 units in which you will gain the knowledge to design and create your own e-magazine or website.
A highly skilled and enthusiastic team of tutors will teach you.
Relevant Entry Level qualification or 3GCSEs at Grade 2/E or above. Satisfactory interview, assessment, school report and/or satisfactory reference.

Study programmes are full-time courses for 16-18 year olds which include:
- A qualification such as BTEC Extended Diploma
- Meaningful work experience or preparation for work
- English and maths, if you don't already have GCSE grade A*-C in English and maths (grade 4 and above)
- Non-study activities such as tutorials, voluntary work, fund-raising/charity work, sport or trips.
When completed you will be able to progress onto the Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Creative Media (P087)
