This is a course designed for practising or prospective managers in business. It is suitable for applicants from all sectors and provides practical content to support the management role.

The course is highly practical and covers the following

  • Solving problems and making decisions
  • Dealing with conflict
  • Writing for Business
  • Introduction to leadership
  • Understanding recruitment and selection in the workplace
  • Understanding Health & Safety in the workplace
Entry Guidelines

There are no formal entry requirements but candidates will normally be practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the course.

If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.

Assessment Method

A written assignment will need to be completed for each unit.

ILM Vocationally Related Qualifications are part of the Qualifications and Credit Frame work applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing successful candidates with Transferable qualification credit. Students who have previously completed and achieved the Award in Leadership and Management will pay a reduced fee of £585 and top up registration of £52.50. Please contact us for further details.
