This apprenticeship is designed for applicants who are developing into roles such as Assistant Accountant, Trainee Accounting Technician, Accounts Clerk, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Sales Ledger Clerk.
Knowledge and skills areas that will be covered include:
- Business awareness
- IT Systems and processes
- Ethical standards
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Management accounting
- Analysis
- Communication
- Problem solving
Apprentices must be in paid employment of at least 30 hours a week. Potential candidates must not have any County Court Judgments or Individual Voluntary Agreements against them. Yearly membership to the AAT is also required. If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. Apprentices will complete a synoptic end test covering knowledge and skills gained. Apprentices will also produce a portfolio and take part in a reflective discussion which will comprise a range of evidence produced in the work-place and this will be carreid out by an independent assessment organisation.
