The Advanced Diploma in Accounting is the second stage of the full AAT qualification. It is a professional course which will give you the skills to excel at a wide range of accounting and finance jobs.
On the advanced diploma you are introduced to more advanced bookkeeping and final accounts preparation. You will also learn: Costing aspects of management accounting Professional Ethics for accountants How to prepare VAT returns How to use financial spreadsheets The qualification is approximately equivalent to A level
To learn effectively on your course you will need to use certain items of equipment and undertake particular activities as part of your studies. We will provide these for your use whilst in College, but to enhance your learning experience further we require you to have AAT membership (The Association of Accounting Technicians). Are you aged 16-18?
Study programmes are full-time courses for 16-18 year olds which include:
- A qualification such as BTEC Extended Diploma
- Meaningful work experience or preparation for work
- English and maths, if you don't already have GCSE grade A* - C in English and maths
- Non-study activities such as tutorials, voluntary work, fund-raising/charity work, sport or trips
