If you are 19 or over and returning to study after a break in your education, this course is designed to increase your knowledge and confidence to pursue a career in Health or Social Care. It can offer a progression route to an Access to Higher Education course or other Level 3 courses..

You will also gain background knowledge and understanding of a range of subjects such as Health Science, Sociology, and Health Psychology.

You will also have the opportunity to complete English and Maths at Level 2, which will enable you to progress onto level 3.

    Applicants must be at least 19 years old when they commence study.

    Applicants may be considered on their individual skills and experience.

    You do not need formal qualifications for this course. However, you must be able to read and write clearly, interpret tasks, be willing to work independently, produce answers in a legible and understandable form and organise information clearly and coherently.

    Where can I progress to?

    Progression to Access to Higher Education Health Professionals or Midwifery course, which is a level 3 course providing a recognised qualification for entry to University degree courses. Enhanced job opportunities because of the enhancement of your GCSE-equivalent profile. .
