Course details

This course is designed to prepare learners for employment in the IT and Telecoms sector and is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a specific area of work within the IT and Telecoms industry. Competence Element: Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals - Total of 72 credits consisting of Mandatory units (12 credits) Personal Effectiveness and Health and Safety plus Optional units suited to your field of work ( 60 credits). Knowledge Element: BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in IT - 6 units studied over a period of one year attending college one day per week. Functional Skills: Functional Maths Level 2 Functional English Level 2 Functional ICT Level 2 Personal Learning & Thinking Skills: Mapped to Competence qualification

Entry guidelines

Apprentices must be in paid employment of at least 30 hours a week. Candidates who already have a qualification at Level 4 or higher are not eligible. Applicants will have achieved 5 GCSEs at grade C or above. If English is not your first language, you may need an English Language assessment before enrolling on this course.
