The BA (Hons) Games Art and Design course is focused on the development of highly transferable artistic technique, and supporting this with a foundation of technical knowledge necessary to showcase your skills and motivation through a practical portfolio.
This is contextualised through the essential understanding of game design elements that underpin all creative and technical roles within the games industry.
The program addresses the demand for adaptable graduates who will consider and engage with the diversity of the games field, and who wish to discover their personal creative inspiration through research and experimentation. Ultimately, maturing students' skills and perspectives to prepare them to enter and shape our contemporary games industry and become a successful Games Designer, Artist, Producer or Entrepreneur.
The program is intended to develop versatile and employable games design creatives who can work within a spectrum of artistic and design areas of the profession, both locally and internationally. Commencement of the course is subject to validation from the awarding body.
The BTEC HNC qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the area of photography. Successful completion of the HNC in Photography will also grant the opportunity to move onto the HND in Photography (also delivered at the College), allowing further development of skills in Photography.
