Where are they now?
Jon thoroughly deserved the award of ‘IMechE Award for Most Improved Student Apprentice in Engineering.’ He managed to gain an Apprenticeship at ‘GS Engineering’ where his potential was spotted by staff, his tutors and his assessor. Jon sailed through his Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeship with ease and has now embarked upon a cadetship to become an engineering officer at ‘Maersk Shipping.’ Maersk are so impressed with Jon they are paying for him to attend Warsash Maritime Academy, part of Southampton Solent University, where he is studying engineering to degree level.
