My week started at the Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph where I joined many others and laid a poppy wreath in memory of students who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service.
Janet and I also walked over on Wednesday the 11th, to join our public services Students for the 2 minute silence at 11am.
I was also very touched to hear the story of the young children in the Children's home in Belgium, who were visited by our students and staff recently, on a work experience trip. They were so determined to send some Christmas cheer to the children that they prepared a Christmas box of goodies for each child that are now winging their way to Belgium. So proud of our students who worked hard to put the needs of others first, to help brighten up the lives of 48 youngsters.
