Wirral Met College is about to launch its new Logistics Centre, which opens in September 2016. The new centre has been created to meet the increasing demand for people with skills and qualifications to support the growing logistics sector which includes warehousing and storage.

Wirral Met College’s brand new Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Centre opened at the Twelve Quays Campus in Birkenhead in June 2016.

Staying in education until you are eighteen doesn’t have to mean staying on at your current school and studying traditional subjects so you can progress onto university.

Wirral Met College has received ‘expression of interest stage’ approval, which means it can now progress to a full application, which will be considered at a future Combined Authority meeting.  The Wirral Met College proposal involves the construction of a new build project adjacent to the College’s existing Wirral Waters Enterprise Zone site, to provide a University Health Campus to deliver nursing and other vocational NHS careers training in partnership with the University of Chester.
