  • Call in to our Conway Park Campus, Europa Boulevard, Birkenhead, to speak to one of our Student Advisers who are available Monday to Friday 10am-4pm (all year round) and Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-6.30pm (term time only).

 

Part-time courses

Applying for a course is easy! If you need help in choosing the right course, just get in touch. Call our Student Advisers on 0151 551 7777 for impartial advice and guidance – they will help you to explore your options and get on the right course.

If you need to complete an application form:

  1. Apply – check on the individual course leaflet whether you need to complete an application form, or whether you need to call us on 0151 551 7777 to book your place/request more details.
    If you need to complete an application form:
    1. Visit Courses to apply online, or
    2. Post your application form to Admissions, Wirral Met College, Conway Park Campus, Europa Boulevard, CH41 4NT or bring it into one of the campuses.
    3. We will acknowledge your application form and invite you to attend an interview or book your place.
  2. Interview (if required)
    1. This is to help us to find out as much as we can about you, before you join us. You will be invited into the College to meet the tutors and discuss the course.
    2. Some courses require you to present a portfolio of your work, or have an audition, during your interview.  You will be sent details prior to your interview.
    3. You can also discuss any learning support needs you may have.
  3. Offer
    1. We will offer you a place on a course at the college which is right for you.
    2. We will give you a letter confirming your offer of a place on the course.
      1. If you have an unconditional offer, you can enrol straight away – please check with Student Services at Reception.
      2. If you have an offer which is dependent on the grades you get in your exams, please confirm you want to accept your offer. We will then let you know how and when you can complete your enrolment, before you start your course.
  4. Keeping in touch
    1. We will keep in touch with you with regular updates about Wirral Met College. Do not forget, if you change your phone number(s), postal or email address, please let us know.
  5. Enrolment
    1. When you come into college to enrol, you will need to bring:
      1. proof of your identity (eg a bank/debit card, national insurance card/letter or passport, driving licence or other accepted form of national ID)
      2. National Insurance Number
      3. evidence of your qualifications (original certificates)
      4. means of payment if you are expected to pay for your course or your confirmation letter from the Student Loans Company for your Advanced Learner Loan . For details please see our fees & discounts leaflet 
      5. anything else you were asked to show as a condition of your offer
  6. Start your course!

New campus opening at Wirral Waters, Birkenhead

Our new £8m campus will be the first building in the Mersey Waters Enterprise Zone.  It is Located near our Twelve Quays Campus, a short walk from Seacombe Ferry Terminal, Woodside Ferry Terminal and Birkenhead Hamilton Square Train Station.
