This course builds and broadens the skills and knowledge gained on the award. Here organisational change is explored together with a range of optional units to provide a minimum of nine credits as well as those listed below.

  • Dealing with conflict
  • Writing for Business
  • Introduction to leadership
  • Understanding recruitment and selection in the workplace
  • Understanding Health & Safety in the workplace
Entry guidelines

There are no formal entry requirements but candidates will normally be practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the course.

If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.

Assessment Method

A written assignment will need to be completed for each unit.

Additional Information

ILM Vocationally Related Qualifications are part of the Qualifications and Credit Frame work applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing successful candidates with Transferable qualification credit. Students who have previously completed and achieved the Award in First Line Management will pay a reduced fee of £585 and top up registration of £52.50.
