This course is designed for those who are new to training and teaching or those who are interested in developing a career in this area.

Course details

This qualification comprises of the following units, making up a total of 12 credits:- Unit 301 Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training - 3 credits Unit 302 Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training - 6 credits Unit 305 Understanding assessment in education and training - 3 credits

Entry guidelines

You will either have extensive experience, or be qualified to minimum level 3 in your specialist subject area. Your English should be at level 2 or above and you will need to have the ability to cope with mathematical concepts. Some prior knowledge of information technology will be advantageous.

Assessment Method

Study will be through a combination of class attendance, self study and use of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

You may be able to progress to further study at the College including Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
