If you are a mature student and do not have the traditional qualifications such as 'A' Levels then this is the course for you. The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University.
The Access to HE Diploma is a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that will enable you to meet the entry requirements for University. On this course you will study subjects relating to English, History and Sociology.
You will need 4 GCSE's grade 4/C or above including English and Maths (and Science if you wish to go into Primary Education). You must evidence previous study within the last 5 years at level 2. Satisfactory interview and assessment (comprehension task).
If English is not your first language, you may need an assessment before enrolling on this course. To discuss further, please contact the ESOL department on 0151 551 7144.
Once you have made an application you will be invited to an interview (if you meet the entry requirement). If you do not meet the course entry requirements then you may be offered an interview for our Pre Access Humanities which provides you the opportunity to gain GCSE Maths and English, as well as relevant subject knowledge.
You will be able to progress on to University to study a wide variety of subjects such as Sociology, History, English, Social Justice, Social Work, Journalism, Media or progress on to BA Cultural Studies here at Wirral Met College.

The fee quoted is for the academic year 2017-18. Course fees for 2018-19 will be confirmed in due course.
