This one day course is the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) as approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

You will study:

  • Assessment of the situation

Entry guidelines

There are no formal entry requirements for the course. Communication skills - You will be able to communicate on a one to one basis and in a group as part of a discussion. Literacy - Much of the course is presented in written form. You will need the ability to read and understand this material. Manual dexterity and physical stamina - You will need the ability to kneel and bend in order to take part in the practical exercises.

Equipment Required

As much of the course is of a practical nature casual clothing is recommended.

Additional Information

Bespoke training courses can be developed to suit your particular business. This will be delivered by a qualified trainer in the workplace or if you prefer, at the college.

Where can I progress to?

Future opportunities: Full First Aid at Work Certificate. The course also provides a useful starting point for basic first aid training and is used by some schools as a staff inset provision and by industry for short courses.
