This apprenticeship is designed for applicants who are in paid employment within Health Profession Support, to achieve the theory and practical elements of the qualifications which recognise the skills they gain in the workplace.

Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Profession Support (QCF) Functional Skills qualification in English 2 Functional Skills qualification in Mathematics 2 Level 3 Award in Employment and Personal Learning Skills in Health (QCF)

Entry guidelines

Apprentices must be in paid employment of at least 30 hours per week. Apprenticeships where the Apprentice is working and studying for less than 30 hours per week are by exception only. In any circumstances the Apprentice must not work for less than 16 hours per week.

Where can I progress to?

Many Allied Health Profession Support apprentices complete their apprenticeships and continue to work as Allied Health Profession Support Workers/Healthcare Assistants with delegated responsibility for a range of clinical tasks. Roles may include: Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Assistant, Dietetics Assistant, etc). They may also supervise other team members.
