If you want to gain employment in this exciting industry this course will provide you with basic skills in ladies hairdressing. You will spend most of your week in our Hairdressing Salons working on models and clients and on completion you may be able to progress to NVQ level 3.

This course is suitable for those who wish to study beauty therapy on a part-time basis during the evening. The qualification gained should help you to embark on a career in this fast growing industry.

This Apprenticeship covers all the basics of Beauty Therapy. As a Beauty Therapy apprentice, you'll work as a salon junior, assisting senior staff while training as a junior Beauty Therapist. Duties are likely to include booking appointments, waxing, manicure, pedicure, facials and make up activities as well as assisting in spa operations. You'll study topics such as beauty therapy theory including selling and health and safety as well as anatomy and physiology. On this Apprenticeship you'll spend a lot of time on your feet. It's also important that you look smart and professional. Good communication plays a role, too - you'll need to understand exactly what your customer wants in order to make them happy.

This Apprenticeship covers all the basics of Barbering. As a Barbering apprentice, you'll work as a salon junior, assisting senior staff while training as a junior Barber. Duties are likely to include booking appointments, shampooing, conditioning, drying and styling hair. You'll study topics such as hair and skin testing and also have the option to learn about promoting products and hair patterns. On this Apprenticeship you'll spend a lot of time on your feet. It's also important that you look smart and professional. Good communication plays a role, too - you'll need to understand exactly what your customer wants in order to make them happy.
