The course leads to a OCN Level 3 course in Community Interpreting.

Course details

The course will cover 2 units:

  • Spoken interpretation
  • Written translation

The course will give students more knowledge of the practicalities of employment as an interpreter. Students will also have the opportunity to further practise and refine their interpreting skills. Students will practise in routine role play situations and also through sight translation.

Entry guidelines

The course is open to ESOL students at Level 2 or above who have already completed Interpreting Level 2.
